Last Saturday, January 13th, ICRA conducted an outreach activity during the basketball game between Bàsquet Girona and Zunder Palència. Throughout the event, we showcased some of ICRA’s ongoing projects and highlighted completed ones. We explained the CityPoll Project to a familiar audience and dove into the river waters to discover the incredible life of the biofilm —a combination of bacteria, fungi, and microscopic algae— and its ecological importance in rivers.

Furthermore, we demonstrated how the protection of vegetation plays a crucial role in water purification. We also showed the video game designed at ICRA, and the attendees actively participated, playing and learning, with a focus on the urban water cycle.

It was an enriching afternoon, blending science and sports!
