Biel Obrador
UB team
Biel Obrador (PhD in Ecology, 2009), is an ecosystem ecologist specialised in aquatic carbon cycling. His research aims at understanding how aquatic ecosystem functioning responds to local and global drivers, using carbon biogeochemistry as a proxy. He has studied carbon cycling in lakes, reservoirs, streams and river networks, and is currently working intensely on the biogeochemistry of temporary systems. He is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences of the University of Barcelona.
Personal contribution to the project:
He will be involved mostly in WP 4 quantifying urban runoff effects on GHG emissions, and in the project dissemination (WP 5).
