Itxaso Martínez
UB team
Itxaso Martínez has a master’s degree in Ecology, Management and Restoration of the Natural Environment and is currently in her first year of PhD in the UB group. Her research focuses on the effects urban wastewater and rain runoff on the functioning of freshwater ecosystems and the ecotoxicity of emerging toxic compounds.
Personal contribution to the project:
She will participate in monitoring the CityPoll case studies to asses urban runoff chemical contamination (WP2), evaluating the effects of urban runoff on microbial organisms (WP3) and analysing the impact of urban runoff on the functioning of the receiving ecosystems (WP4).
