Maite Arroita
UPV/EHU team
Maite Arroita has a PhD in Biology (UPV/EHU), and currently is an Assistant Professor of Ecology and Limnology at the University of the Basque Country. She is a river ecologist and her research focuses on ecosystem functioning, specifically on seasonal and historic changes in river metabolism as well as the drivers of these dynamis.
Personal contribution to the project:
She is an investigator of the UPV/EHU team. She will be involved mostly in subproject 3, analyzing runoff characteristics under contrasting urban contexts (WP2), assessing the effects of pollution on ecosystem functions in the receiving streams, and quantifying the mitigating effects of buffer zones on the ecological responses (WP4).
